Chiropractic Adjustments

What is Chiropractic?
*Chiropractic is a health care profession focusing on disorders of the musculoskeletal system, the nervous system and the effects these disorders have on your overall health. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, or more commonly known as back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints (arms and legs), headaches etc. Doctors of Chiropractic, known as Chiropractors, practice a drug-free, hands on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment.

As a Chiropractic Clinic we have broad diagnostic skills and are trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.

Our Methods of Chiropractic Adjustment
At Sauk Centre Chiropractic we perform a number of different chiropractic techniques that include both manual adjusting and light force instrument adjusting. Our patients are then able to select which type of treatment fits their particular problem and comfort level. Some of the methods we utilize include: Diversified, Thompson (Drop Sections), Activator and Koren Specific Techniques.
Arthrostim Instrument

The Arthrostim Instrument
The Arthrostim is a highly effective low force-adjusting instrument capable of making specific corrections to subluxated areas of the spine and extremities. The instrument taps at a specific frequency that is used by the body as valuable input into the nervous system. Since there is no "twisting or cracking" of your spine when the Arthrostim instrument is used, many find this method of treatment to be desirable.

After Your Adjustment - Adjunctive Therapies
Following your adjustment, we may select one or more adjunctive therapies to help reduce spasm, pain and inflammation. Some modalities, or types of therapy, used by Sauk Centre Chiropractic include:
  • Ultrasound
  • Muscle Stimulation
  • Interferential Therapy
  • Hot & Cold Packs
  • Traction
We may also recommend specific exercises to speed up the healing process and to help your adjustments last longer.

Myopulse
Acuscope – Myopulse
The Acuscope and Myopulse machines are space age instruments designed to read information from the cells of injured tissues and treat them at a cellular level. The microcurrents used target damaged cells and assist them in correcting their electrical signal. The end result is the accelerated healing in injured muscle, tendon, ligament, nerve and bone tissue.
